Men's Golf Holds onto Top Spot in Golf World Top 25 Poll

The Oglethorpe men's golf team held onto the top spot in the final Golf World/Nike Golf Division III College Coaches' Top 25 poll of the calendar year.

The Petrels picked up 11 of a possible 15 first-place votes, and accumulated 368 points, finishing 15 points ahead of second-place Methodist. Methodist garnered two first-place votes, while seventh-ranked Gustavus Adolphus nabbed the other two. St. John's (Minn.), Nebreska Wesleyan and Texas-Tyler rounded out the Top 5.

The Petrels won the SAA Fall Preview and the Oglethorpe/Royal Lakes Fall Invitational during the fall season, and finished third in both the Golfweek Division III Fall Preview and the Gordin Classic.
