Women's Golf Finishes 17th at Jekyll Island Women's Collegiate
The Oglethorpe women's golf team took a 17th place finish away from the Jekyll Island Women's Collegiate this weekend at the Indian Mounds Golf Club in Jekyll Island, Ga.
They finished with a three-day total of 1065, 111 strokes behind champions Mary Hardin-Baylor. Methodist finished six strokes back, while Claremont-Mudd-Scripps came in 10 strokes behind. Illinois Wesleyan finished fourth, 28 strokes back, while Texas-Tyler rounded out the top five, 30 strokes back
Reigning SAA Player of the Week Jordan Krahn led the Lady Petrels once again, putting up a three-day total of 252, good enough for a 45th-place tie. Chelsea Gatterdam posted a 58th-place tie with a final round of 81 and a three-day total of 257, while Mary Roberts found herself in an 84th-place tie with a tournament total of 276. Tori Van Wyen finished 99th after shooting a three-day total of 290, while Erin McPhee tied for 100th with a three-day total of 291.
Nicole Ricketson finished in a tie for 94th place competing as an individual, shooting a three-day total of 286. Meanwhile, Kristi Phillips finished tie for 103rd place after a tournament-long total of 294.
The Lady Petrels will next be in action on April 13 at the Piedmont College Spring Invitational in Clarkesville, Ga.
