    Women's Lacrosse Falls to Centre in SAA Opener The Oglethorpe women’s lacrosse team opened its SAA season Saturday afternoon at the Oglethorpe Track and Field against Centre. However, they were not able to come away with a victory. Centre scored 6 consecutive goals within the first 15 minutes of the game and finished with a 17-5 victory over the Stormy Petrels. Oglethorpe now stands at 1-2 for the season overall and 0-1 in SAA play.

    Oglethorpe Celebrates National Girls and Women in Sports Day The Oglethorpe athletic department and the Oglethorpe Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) celebrated National Girls and Women in Sports Day Sunday at the Schmidt Recreation Center on Oglethorpe's campus. Inclement weather moved the event inside from its originally scheduled location at the Oglethorpe Track and Field, but it didn't dampen the mood of any of the participants.

    Women's Lacrosse Falls to Piedmont, 14-4, in First Road Game of Season The Oglethorpe women’s lacrosse team had a tough evening Tuesday at the Walker Athletic Complex in Demorest, having a scoreless first half en route to falling to the Lions 14-4. This brought the Stormy Petrels to 1-1 on the season.

    Dreshona Mapps-Whitmore Garners SAA Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week Honors Freshman defender Dreshona Mapps-Whitmore of the Oglethorpe women's lacrosse team earned SAA Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week honors Monday from the league office for her efforts in her first career collegiate game, a 22-3 victory over Truett McConnell on Saturday at the Oglethorpe Track and Field.

    Women's Lacrosse Starts Season on Outstanding Note with 22-3 Victory over Truett McConnell The Oglethorpe women’s lacrosse team picked up their first victory of the year in their season opener Saturday on the Oglethorpe Track and Field, blowing out the visiting Truett-McConnell Bears 22-3. With the victory, the Stormy Petrels start the season 1-0.

    2017 Women's Lacrosse Season Preview The Oglethorpe women's lacrosse team is set to make its return to the field this weekend, when they host Truett McConnell Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. on the Oglethorpe Track and Field. The Stormy Petrels return four players from the 2016 squad, and feature a new head coach, as Shawna Block will be in her first season at the helm of the program.

    Oglethorpe SAAC Finishes Successful First Annual Toy Drive for Patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta The Oglethorpe Student-Athlete Advisory Committtee (SAAC) wound up their First Annual Toy Drive last week and delivered the toys received to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite Hospital on Friday.
