The Oglethorpe volleyball team made the most of their final home match of the season, as they made quick work of Agnes Scott, 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-16).
The Lady Petrels led virtually wire-to-wire during the 3-0 victory. There was some back-and-forth in the first set, but after the score was tied 14-14, Oglethorpe went on an 11-3 run to close out the set. Then, they led by as much as 24-10 in the second set. In the third set, they closed out the match relatviely easily, never trailing and finishing on a 10-1 run.
McKenna Bondarenko contributed 17 kills to the effort, while Anna Marie DeSalvo continued her excellent work in her new role of setter, providing 28 assists. Megan MaKuck tallied 12 digs, and Erin Shelton finished with seven kills and eight digs.
The win improves the Lady Petrels to 5-11 on the season. They will next take the court on Saturday, when they will travel to Birmingham Southern to take on the Panthers at noon Eastern.
