Women's cross country places 12th at Foothills Invite

The Oglethorpe women's cross country team finished 12th out of 21 teams Saturday at the Foothills Invite in Oxford, Alabama, finishing second among Division III competition. The Stormy Petrels accumulated 358 points to finish two spots below Birmingham-Southern and four spots ahead of LaGrange.

Freshman Sarah Brummett finished 48th in the 5-kilometer race, recording a time of 20:55.5. That placed her third among Division III competitors. Junior Reagan Goodwin finished 101st with a time of 23:37.3. Junior Courtney Stuart completed the race in 24:27.5, freshman Robin Stein did so in 24:35.8, and freshman Julie Ericson in 24:56.3.

The Petrels will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 19, when they head to Mount Berry for the Berry Invitational. That'll serve as a prelude to the SAA Cross Country Championships, also set to take place in Mount Berry on Nov. 2.
