ORLANDO, Fla.—The Oglethorpe women's tennis team wrapped up its spring break in Orlando, Florida. The Stormy Petrels faced William Smith, Wisconsin Eau Claire, Luther and Endicott but lost all four matches.
Match Notes | Day One vs. William Smith
- Izzy Forster picked up Oglethorpe's point at No. 1 singles, winning 6-1, 6-3 to improve to 4-1.
- Alexis Salgueiro had a tight match at No. 3 singles, falling in a tiebreak opening set by a narrow score of 7-5 in the breaker, then falling 10-6 in the super tiebreaker after winning the second set.
- Taylor Glover also forced a third set but fell 10-5 in the super.
Match Notes | Day Two vs. Wisconsin Eau Claire and Luther
- Salgueiro had the closest match in an otherwise gloomy morning for the Stormy Petrels against Wisconsin Eau Claire. She fell 7-6 in the opening set.
- Later in the day, Forster and Brianna Ali picked up a doubles win over Luther at the No. 1 spot, winning 8-3.
- Maddie Nolen tallied Oglethorpe's other point against Luther with a marathon win of 16-14 in the third set super tiebreaker.
Match Notes | Day Three vs. Endicott
- Oglethorpe wrapped up the week against Endicott in a 7-2 loss.
- Forster and Salgueiro both earned victories in straight sets, winning at No. 1 and No. 3.
- Glover forced a third set at No. 5 but fell in the super tiebreaker.
