Support our department
The Oglethorpe Sports Medicine Clinic Improvement Fund is a great way for Stormy Petrel fans to help keep their Petrels on the field. At Oglethorpe, we are constantly looking for ways to improve the care of our athletes. With your donation, we hope to improve the medical facilities and equipment used to treat all of our athletes.
Our staff is trained in first aid, emergency care and clinical diagnosis. As certified athletic trainers, we specialize in injury prevention, injury evaluation, and injury rehabilitation. We work collaboratively with Head Team MD, Dr. Sam Labib, Emory Sports Medicine surgeon and associate professor of orthopedic surgery, Emory University, to provide our athletes with the optimum care needed to get them back into competition in the quickest and safest manner possible.
Additionally, the Oglethorpe Sports Medicine team can save student-athletes money by offering in-house rehabilitation for injuries and surgeries as well as fast track medical care to our team physicians at Emory Orthopedics.
So far, we have raised $1,500. That money has gone directly to improvements in our athletic training room.
If you are interested in making a donation, please contact Louise Inch, Head Athletic Trainer, at 404-364-8486 or at linch@oglethorpe.edu.
Thank you for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Oglethorpe Athletic Training Staff
