ATLANTA- Freshmen duo Reid Korody and Ryan Gallagher were named Southern Athletic Association co-athletes of the week after leading the No. 10 Stormy Petrels to win the West Pines Collegiate for the third time in four years earlier this week.

The two were two strokes shy of medalist honors and finished as runners-up individually.  

Korody's scores, 68-68-70, helped the Petrels set the 36-hole team scoring record for par 71 on Monday's round and put the Petrels 12 strokes under on the way to securing the top spot.

Gallagher, competing as an individual, tied the program record for 18-hole score relative to stroke on Monday's second round after a fiery 8 under 63 finish that featured a course record of 29 on the back nine.

Koroby, Gallagher and the rest of the Petrels will travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 12-13, to compete in The Tartan Invitational held at Laurel Valley Golf Club.
