Oglethorpe University

John Michaels joined Oglethorpe's athletics staff in fall 2022 and currently serves as a voice for Stormy Petrel home events on the Oglethorpe Sports Network.

Michaels is an 18-year sports personality in Atlanta. As a radio host, he has hosted several sports talk shows ranging from small markets such as high school football to nationally recognized organizations such as the Atlanta Falcons. Michaels has also spent eight years as the sideline reporter for the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network, also functioning as a pregame and postgame host.

Michaels is the father of three and spends his leisure time coaching basketball and playing flag football. He is a die-hard University of Miami fan.
