Kyle Morris is entering his second season as head coach of the Oglethorpe University men’s lacrosse team and fourth year total with Oglethorpe athletics.

Morris was hired as an assistant coach for Oglethorpe’s men’s and women’s lacrosse teams in 2017. He spent two years in this position before leaving Oglethorpe to take an opportunity serving as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator at York College of Pennsylvania. While Morris was at York, they were ranked as high as 7th in the Division III rankings in the shortened 2020 season. In September of 2020, Morris was named Oglethorpe’s head men’s lacrosse coach and made a quick impact on the program. Morris recorded his first win as a head coach against Brevard College, 10-3.

Morris has also served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Shorter University. His coaching career began post-grad in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as an assistant coach at Signal Mountain High School in 2015, and then Baylor School in 2016.

Prior to his coaching career, Morris played collegiate lacrosse himself at NCAA Division II Shorter University. Morris has spent the past decade and a half surrounded by the game of lacrosse, whether it be as a player, coach, or fan.
