The loss to Austin is Oglethorpe's fifth straight, this one coming on Pinholster Court with the Kangaroos managing to outshoot the Petrels in the game. For the night Austin connected on 33 of 65 attempts for 51% while Oglethorpe struggled shooting 20-62 for 32%. The Kangaroos used their experience and size to win the battle of the boards 42-37.

Mareva Bone returned to the lineup after a lengthy hiatus with injury and led all Petrels with 11 points on the night. Eleven of the healthy twelve women on the roster managed to score on the evening with Sarah Giles narrowly missing a double-double with 9 points and 14 rebounds.

The Petrels are now 7-10 on the season and 2-6 in SCAC play. They are back in action this Sunday when they face Colorado College at noon.
