The Oglethorpe University women's basketball team lost to Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas on Friday night, 72-48. On a snowy, frigid night in Arkansas, the Petrels were similarly cold from the field, missing 24 of 30 first half shots to fall behind by an insurmountable margin of 34-14.

The Warriors held Oglethorpe to 28% shooting on the night (17-60) and never trailed on their way to claiming the win. The Petrels committed 26 turnovers which Hendrix cashed in for 24 points en route to the victory.

Freshman Sarah Gile continued her steady play for the Petrels by posting 8 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks in the road loss. Sarah Jones was the lone Petrel in double figures with 11 on the night and Katie Weeks added 6 points and 5 rebounds.

The loss drops Oglethorpe to 8-11 on the season and 3-7 in SCAC play. The Petrels must brave the weather and travel to Jackson, Mississippi to face Millsaps on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
