The women's basketball team lost to Centre College in Danville, Ky. on Sunday afternoon, 74-46. The Petrels fell behind by 20 points in the first half and could not catch up with a dismal 1 of 18 shooting performance (6%) from beyond the arc.

Overall, the Petrels were 20 of 72 (28%) from the field and got outrebounded by the Colonels 53-38 en route to the loss.

Sarah Giles was the lone Petrel in double figures with 12 points 8 rebounds and 4 blocks on the afternoon.

Oglethorpe is now 5-18 on the season and 4-11 in SCAC play. The regular season will conclude on Saturday when the Petrels take on Sewanee in Tennessee. After that, it's off to Jackson for the SCAC Tournament.
