The Oglethorpe volleyball team lost to Sewanee Friday night, losing 3-1 (25-10, 20-25, 25-21, 26-24). The loss drops the Lady Petrels to 3-8 on the season, 0-8 in SAA play.

After falling hard in the first set, the Lady Petrels stormed back with a 25-20 win in the second. They then lost the third set, 25-21. They fought valiantly in the fourth and final set, but could not quite get over the hump, losing the set 26-24, and the match 3-1.

Outside hitter Anna Marie DiSalvo once again led the Lady Petrels with 14 kills and 15 digs. Opposite hitter Erin Shelton contributed 10 kills, setter Brittin Dawson dished out 17 assists, and libero Megan Makuck tallied up 26 digs. Setter Kate Cassell came through with 11 digs and 10 assists off the bench for the Lady Petrels.  

The team will next take the court tomorrow afternoon, when they will take on Centre at 1:30 p.m.
