Box Score ATLANTA—Dimetri Chambers scored a game high 25 points and combined with Carlos Sone, Ryan Jenei and Jack Murrah for a 16-for-27 effort from 3-point territory, and Oglethorpe ran away with the season opener against Brevard 92-42 on Saturday.
The score was 19-7 before the Stormy Petrels unleashed a 23-4 run to put the game well in hand by the three-minute mark of the first half. This followed a 16-4 run early in the game to combine for a 39-8 run over a span of 14 minutes.
The Petrels did it with a little bit of everything, but most notably with their perimeter shooting. They were 11-for-20 from three in the first half and ultimately 17-for-32 in the game. Chambers went 4-for-8, Sone went 4-for-4, Jenei 4-for-6 and Murrah 4-for-9. Those four were the games four leading scorers with 25, 13, 14 and 12, respectively.

Sone's 13 points came alongside six rebounds and five assists; Jenei added four rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots; and Murrah added three rebounds and two assists.
Oglethorpe emptied its bench in the second half with 19 players entering the game and 13 scoring points. Will Koch scored six on 3-of-6 shooting, and Tyler Krivitzkin also came off the bench to contribute four assists and two steals.
