Box Score The Oglethorpe men's basketball team used a massive 28-0 run in the second half to defeat Centre on the road Sunday afternoon with a final score of 92-73. The high scoring second half ultimately allowed the Petrels to claim the victory.

Dimetri Chambers led Oglethorpe in scoring with 24 points. This was Chambers' 41st career game scoring 20 or more. Other scorers included
Uba Ezigbo with 18 points, and
Lane Foster and
Jack Murrah each with 15.
Ryan Jenei contributed 10 rebounds, along with eight rebounds from Foster.

"After a tough game Friday night, I'm really proud of the way the guys bounced back today," said Head Coach
Philip Ponder. "Even being down eight at the half, the guys' intensity was great all game, and we got into a good flow in the second half. Who knows, maybe Friday night winds up being good for us. This was a good win for us, and sets up a regular season championship game Wednesday night. It's going to be tough, but we are looking forward to the challenge."

Oglethorpe trailed down by eight at halftime with the score at 43-35. Into the second half, the Petrels were lagging by 10 points, but then a devastating 28-0 run completely changed the narrative of the game. Oglethorpe then went on to win the game by 19 points.

Up next, Oglethorpe will play their last regular season game at Berry on Wednesday at 8 p.m. At the beginning of December, the Petrels defeated Berry in a very close home game with a final score of 83-80. Wednesday's winner will be the SAA regular season champion.
