ATLANTA – In their first Southern Athletic Association match of the season, the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels received tough competition from Millsaps and ultimately fell 5-4 after a long battle with the Majors.
Izzy Forster won 6-3, 6-2 in No.1 singles, recording Oglethorpe's sole victory in singles matches.
This came after Forster and Sydney Dattilo combined for an 8-4 victory in No. 1 doubles, Alyssa Merletti and Brianna Ali won 8-5 in No. 2 doubles, and Alexis Salgueiro and Maddie Nolen won 8-7 in No. 3 doubles. Salgueiro and Nolen cut it close, winning a 7-2 tiebreak.Â
