ROME, Ga. - After a tense game, the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels closed out their season with an 18-3 loss to the Berry Vikings. Â

The Petrels and the Vikings saw a tough first quarter, with only three goals in total. Brand was the first to score, giving the Petrels a great outlook. However, Berry quickly tied and surpassed Oglethorpe. The Vikings went on to dominate the second period, and after a goal from Pendleton-Moore, the Petrels headed into halftime down 9-2.
Berry recorded five unanswered goals in the third quarter. The Petrels kept fighting, with Bedgood scoring the last goal of the game. After an uphill battle with the Vikings, Oglethorpe ultimately fell 18-3, bringing an end to their 2023 season.
