ROME, Ga. – The Stormy Petrels continued Southern Athletic Association play at Berry on Thursday, but the Vikings gave Oglethorpe's tennis teams quite a challenge. Oglethorpe lost 7-2 on the men's side and 6-3 on the women's side.Â
Women's Highlights
- The women's team fell 6-3 to the Vikings, but not without a few stellar performances from seniors.
- Izzy Forster won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while senior Alexis Salgueiro triumphed 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 singles for her second straight win.
- Forster and Sydney Dattilo combined for an 8-4 victory in No.1 doubles.Â
Men's Highlights
- The men's team suffered a 7-2 loss, but two freshmen were able to pick up wins.
- Zack Raymond won 6-3, 6-3 in No. 6 singles while Jefferson Page recorded a 7-5, 6-3 victory in No. 5 singles.Â
