ATLANTA—A career-high 17 points from Anna Conza and 14 and 13 respectively from Sheraton Foster and Briley Elder were not enough as the Oglethorpe women's basketball team lost to Oberlin 69-61 Saturday in a neutral game at Emory.
It marked the first loss of the season for the Stormy Petrels, who moved to 2-1 on the young season.
Oglethorpe had the lead 30-29 in the final two minutes of the first half, but a basket by Katherine Csiszar gave Oberlin the lead for good. It was 35-31 at the break and Oglethorpe managed to cut the deficit to three in the fourth quarter, but a 13-5 run helped Oberlin build a cushion late in the game.
Game Notes
- Conza posted eight rebounds alongside her career-high scoring effort, going 5-for-9 from the field and 2-for-2 from the perimeter. She also had three assists and three steals.
- Keimarya Rivera had a quiet game of only five points but a big game on the glass with 10 rebounds. She also had three assists and two steals to go with a blocked shot.
