ATLANTA—Oglethorpe's tennis teams suffered defeat to Centre Saturday afternoon at home in the penultimate home match of the season. The Stormy Petrel men lost 5-4 while the women lost 9-0.
Oglethorpe had a strong start on the men's side with one doubles match decided 8-6 and the other two going to tiebreaks. Jefferson Page and Zack Raymond won their tiebreak 7-4, but the Petrels came up short in the other two matches. Daniel Cohen and Sam Wasko led their tiebreak at the first crossover, but Centre battled back to win 7-5.
This led Centre to a 2-1 edge through doubles, and the Colonels would then wrap up the match splitting the singles matches.
