ATLANTA—The Oglethorpe tennis teams dropped their last home match of the regular season Sunday at Downing Howell Tennis Courts, losing 9-0 to nationally ranked Sewanee.
Jefferson Page, Figge Pernfors and Zack Raymond had the tightest matches on the men's side, splitting the first two sets to force a deciding third, but all three lost in the end. Page played out his third set to a 6-2 loss after bouncing back to win the second set 6-3. Pernfors and Raymond both played super tiebreakers and fell 10-7 and 10-3, respectively.
Pernfors won the first set 7-5 while Raymond won his first set 7-6 (7-3). Sewanee was ranked No. 17 in the latest national poll.
On the women's side, the No. 16 Tigers swept the day all in straight sets. Izzy Forster had the closest match with a 7-5 loss in the opening set.

Oglethorpe's regular season closes next weekend with a trip to Millsaps Saturday and Birmingham Southern Sunday. After that, the SAA tournament is set for the following weekend, Friday-Sunday, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
