MEMPHIS—Ashton Deriso and Zachary Benner took fifth and eighth, respectively, to lead the Oglethorpe men's cross country team to another high finish Saturday morning at the Rhodes Invitational. The Stormy Petrels took fourth as a team in the 18-team event while the women's side took 13th overall in the 19-team event.
Men's Highlights
- Deriso ran 25:34 to finish in the top five for the third time in three tries this season.
- Benner followed just behind in eighth at 25:44 marking the third time also in three tries this season he finished eighth or better.
- Kameron Holmes and Beck James finished back-to-back in 31st and 32nd at 26:48 and 26:49.
- Anthony Arredondo rounded out the scoring in 55th with a time of 27:34.
- Oglethorpe finished second among the five Southern Athletic Association schools.
