FAIRBURN, Ga. – Oglethorpe's cross country teams wrapped up their penultimate regular season meet Friday at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Fairburn, Georgia, highlighted by standout performances from both the men's and women's squads, and a top five finish from senior Zachary Benner.
Men's Highlights
Benner led the Stormy Petrels with a stellar run, finishing fourth overall in the 8k with a time of 24:29.90, and adding to his resume as the Southern Athletic Association athlete of the week this past two weeks ago. Graduate student Ashton Deriso, the SAA athlete of the week at the start of the season, followed close behind, securing a top-12 finish with a time of 25:01.30.

Women's Highlights
On the women's side, senior Hannah Rhodes capped her regular season with a personal best of 23:23.73, placing inside the top 45 of the 6k field. Freshman Kirsten Rose also turned in a strong performance, posting a personal best of 23:43.07.
Other Petrels in action included Elliott Baker who ran 25:30.82 in 96th. Mari-Rosa Colon finished just outside the top 100.
