ROME, Ga.—The regular season slate of the 2025 season for the Oglethorpe men's soccer team came to a close after a draw on Saturday versus the Berry Vikings.
An early shot by the Vikings started off the first half, yet it was contained by goalkeeper Sebastian Lewis. Nick Krull returned the offensive firepower in the 22nd minute looking to put the Petrels on the board but could not capitalize. Additional shots by Luca Orsi and Angelo Nkosi also could not advance the score and ended the half in a stalemate. Lewis and the defense had a strong half, Lewis tallying three saves.
In the 48th minute, the Vikings took the first shot of the second half hoping to set the tone, but it was contained by Lewis. Orsi and Nkosi also took more shots yet could not capitalize on it. Christian Watson took a last-minute shot in hopes of advancing the Petrels but it was saved by the Vikings. After multiple shots and strong defensive efforts, the Petrels ran out of time and took the tie to end the regular season.
