ATLANTA – Despite multiple personal victories and a strong midgame rally, the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels fell 18-10 to the Hendrix Warriors.
Joshua Tamarkin led with a season high of six goals, followed by Israel Pendleton-Moore with two goals and one assist. Liam Miller made a career high of two assists. Michael Fox made seven ground balls and won 14 faceoffs. Goalie Xay Duax made 17 saves.
Hendrix dominated the first quarter, gaining a five-point lead before Aniedo Udoh put the Petrels on the board. The Warriors had a tight grip on the game until the third quarter, when Tamarkin and Fox fired off a 4-0 run. Tamarkin added another goal at the top of the fourth period, but Oglethorpe was still down 15-9. Hendrix only continued to strengthen their lead and ended the game 18-10.

The Stormy Petrels will be supporting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation in their "versus cancer" game on Sunday, March 30, at 12 p.m. against Rhodes. Oglethorpe will celebrate senior day against Warren Wilson on Wednesday, April 2, at 6 p.m. and the final home game of the season will be Sunday, April 6, at 12 p.m. against Southwestern.Â
