OXFORD, Ala. – Led by Ashton Deriso's third-place finish, Oglethorpe's cross country teams turned in strong performances at the JSU Foothills Invitational Friday evening, highlighted by multiple PR'S and solid season openers.

Men's Highlights

• Seniors Deriso and Zachary Benner both recorded personal records and top-10 finishes. Deriso ran 14:50.59, while Benner followed close behind at 15:01.69, finishing third and sixth, respectively.
• Jason Bredemann took 63rd overall in 16:51.6.
• Demetrius Moore set a new personal best with a time of 17:21.05.
• Jayden White made his collegiate debut, finishing in 17:50.42.
• Overall, the Petrels placed two in the top six and five in the top 100.

Women's Highlights

• Hannah Rhodes opened her season with a 19:45.03 finish, taking 52nd overall.
• Kirsten Rose, making her debut, placed two spots back of Rhodes in 54th with a time of 19:57.0.
• Elliott Baker recorded a season best at 21:16.35.
• Freshmen Nia Conley, Mari-Rosa Colon and Rocio Quiroz Salem made their collegiate debuts.
