JACKSON, Miss. - The Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels ended the 2025-26 season with a 97-71 loss to the Millsaps Majors on Saturday.
Carter Watkins led with a career high 28 points. Malachi Dooley followed with 20 points and eight assists, then Jackson Kemp with 10 points and 11 rebounds. This was Kemp's third double-double of the season.
Watkins made a layup right out of the gate, and the Petrels built up a decent lead. The Majors came back in the last few minutes, and despite a 3-pointer from Mason Kemp, the Petrels headed into halftime down 48-39.
The Majors dominated the second half, quickly racking up a 10, then 20, then even a 30-point lead. Dooley and Watkins combined for a 7-0 run to break the 30-point difference but ran out of time to make a bigger dent. Dooley ended the game with a dunk, but the Petrels fell 97-71.
