ATLANTA - The Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels and new Head Coach Mara Suarez are set to start the 2026 season.

On the Schedule

• Season opener: Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 6:30 p.m. at home against Piedmont.
• Jenny McDowell Invitational: Hosted annually by Emory, the Petrels will face Huntingdon, Saint Mary's and LaGrange the first weekend in September.
• The Millsaps Invitational: Oglethorpe will battle Principia and Centenary on Millsaps' court.
• Southern Athletic Association Opener: Friday, Sept. 18, at Berry at 11:30 a.m.
• SAA Tournament: November 12-15 hosted by Trinity.
• Oglethorpe will face Saint Mary's and Centenary for the first time in program history.

On the Roster

• The team has welcomed eight freshmen: Adrianne Ryan, Ava Adams, Sofia Swicegood, Mandy Karavite, Callie Simmons, Sarah Johnson, Jane Pennington and Annabelle Turnbull.
• Returning players: Madison Thompson, Toki Ingram, Abby Wheeler, Lauryn Frazier and Aubrey Hill.
• Assistant coaches Taylor Burke and Jasmin Walker have also joined the team.

Last Season

• Wheeler made 404 digs and 31 aces.
• Hill had 102 kills.
• Fifteen Petrels were named to the SAA Academic honor roll.
