Ryan Jenei joined Oglethorpe’s athletic staff as assistant men’s basketball coach in April 2023 following a stellar five-year playing career. Jenei’s responsibilities with the team include assisting with player development, on-court instruction, scouting and recruiting.

Jenei came to Oglethorpe in 2018 and enjoyed a playing career that spanned five seasons, including the shortened 2020-21 season. Jenei scored 856 career points with 443 career rebounds while adding 143 assists and 74 steals. He played in 119 games over the course of his career, and he earned Southern Athletic Association distinction as an academic all-conference honoree all five years.

Jenei earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Oglethorpe in 2022. He also holds a business analytics certificate.
