Kim Coleman

Kim Coleman joined Oglethorpe's athletics staff as assistant women's basketball coach prior to the 2017-18 season. Coach Coleman has been integral in developing the Oglethorpe defense into one of the country’s best with their high pressure and high intensity style.

Coleman has also been integral in the development of four all-American seasons for Oglethorpe post players. Coleman also plays a significant role in game planning and strategy for the Stormy Petrels.

Prior to Oglethorpe

Coleman spent eight seasons at Emory, where he was responsible for many aspects of the program, including player development and recruiting, as well as his duties on the floor. He was a part of the Emory staff that claimed the 2012 University Athletic Association (UAA) title and UAA Coaching Staff of the Year.

Prior to his time at Emory, Coleman served as head coach at Milton High School where he guided the program to a record of 99-43 along with five state playoff appearances. The Lady Eagles captured the Region 6-AAAAA title in 2006 while finishing that campaign with a 25-4 record. For his contributions, Coleman was named coach of the year for the region in 2006.

Personal

Coleman is married to Elisa Coleman, and the couple has two sons, Chase and Blake.
