Oglethorpe University

Gary King came to Oglethorpe in 2024 as an assistant golf coach.

King comes to Oglethorpe after decades of teaching and golf industry experience. On top of his coaching duties, he is currently a math and science teacher at Rivers Academy.

Prior to Oglethorpe

From 2005 to 2021, King was a 5th-grade teacher for Fulton County Schools. From 2002 to 2021, he served as President/PGA Golf Professional for the Georgia Junior Golf Association.
