Oglethorpe University

Melanie Davis joined Oglethorpe’s athletics staff in summer 2023 after serving the department in a student capacity starting in 2021. Davis currently serves as director of sports information for digital media. 

In this role, Davis serves on the sports information department’s media team as the primary videographer and video editor for content on the athletics website and athletics social media. Davis also contributes to other day-to-day content for Oglethorpe’s athletics social media and helps coordinate much of the gameday and postgame posting for specific team accounts.

Davis began working in the sports information office as a student in fall 2021, initially serving as videographer and social media manager for Oglethorpe volleyball before expanding her role to become heavily involved in the video and social media operation for the entire athletics department.

Davis graduated from Oglethorpe in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in film and media after competing on the Oglethorpe volleyball team for four years. Davis currently lives in the Atlanta area.
