ATLANTA - The Oglethorpe men's soccer team battled Hendrix to a 0-0 stalemate on Friday night. Oglethorpe had a handful of opportunities throughout the 90 minutes with a total of 19 shots but ultimately could not convert.
This was Oglethorpe's second straight draw after their 1-1 draw at Birmingham Southern College on October 9. It was only the second time this season that Oglethorpe had been shut out at home, the most recent time before that was on September 30 when the Stormy Petrels lost 1-0 to Sewanee.
A frustrating night for the Stormy Petrels as they looked to get their first win at home since September 11 when they cruised against Whitworth University in a 3-0 win. They had only three points from their last five games. The team will have to bounce back from this quickly as they play against Rhodes College on Sunday.
