Petrels cap regular season with win against Berry

ATLANTA--An early second-half goal from Ella Price gave the Oglethorpe women's soccer program a 1-0 victory to end the regular season on a strong note on Saturday.

The goal for the Stormy Petrels came in the 48th minute. Price fired a strong shot into the back of the net, and it was the freshman's sixth goal of the season. Mackenzie Jones had the assist; it was the junior's fifth assist of the season.

The women in black and yellow played some very fluid and attacking football throughout the match. Additionally, Oglethorpe had a strong defensive performance. Lily Burford, Evan Thomas, Catie Caputo, and Taylor Whiteside did everything that they could to deny Berry from scoring. Senior goalkeeper Haley Lowell once again rose to the occasion with her fifth clean sheet of the season.

The coaching staff and players will be proud of this statement victory as they begin their Southern Athletic Association postseason campaign.
