MONTGOMERY, Ala.--The Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels fell 115-51 to the NCAA Division I Alabama State Hornets in an exhibition game Tuesday night.
Uba Ezigbo and Perry Robinson led with nine points and four rebounds each, followed by Jordan James with eight points then Christian Williams and Dylan Pumpian with six each. Mark Asare and Malachi Dooley both recorded two assists. Williams and Robert Reisman each tallied four rebounds. Williams also made three steals.
Alabama State started the game with a 3-pointer in the opening minute, foreshadowing an uphill battle that was to come for Oglethorpe. Two good free throws from Robinson and a 3-pointer from Ezigbo gave the Petrels a 5-3 lead, but Alabama State responded with a run that put them ahead 50-32 at the halftime break.Â
The Hornets ran away with the rest of the game, resulting in a final score of 115-51.
This game was an exhibition game and will not count toward Oglethorpe's season record or the players' statistics.Â

The Stormy Petrels will face Huntingdon and LaGrange, both hosted by LaGrange, November 18-19. The first home game will be Tuesday, Nov. 28, against Brevard at 7 p.m.
