Box Score ATLANTA—Oglethorpe sophomore Keimarya Rivera led the Stormy Petrels with 18 points and nine rebounds in an 84-49 victory at Agnes Scott Tuesday evening. The win put Oglethorpe back on track after its four-game winning streak had been snapped by a two-game skid.
Oglethorpe (6-3, 1-0 Southern Athletic Association) jumped into the early lead and hardly had trouble from the get-go. A 22-11 lead at the first break expanded into a 27-point lead after the Petrels put together one of their biggest quarters with 30 points in the second 10 minutes. They were well on their way to the century mark with a 52-35 lead at the break.
Although the onslaught slowed in the second half, Oglethorpe opened the lead up further in the third quarter before settling in to their second-biggest win of the season.
Following Rivera, Jessamy Gaetanos also hit double figures in scoring with her fourth double-digit game of the season at 10 points. Gaetanos went 3-for-4 from the field and 2-for-2 from three.
