ATLANTA—Jazz Washington and Jeremiah James combined for seven goals, and Oglethorpe defeated Brevard 10-7 Thursday night in a nonconference home game. The win was the third of the home schedule and improved the Stormy Petrels to 4-4 overall.
Washington and James scored the first three goals of the game in building a 3-0 Oglethorpe lead through the first five minutes, and the Petrels led the whole way after that. Brevard got the deficit back to 4-2, but then it was Richard Bedgood IV, Israel Pendleton-Moore and Washington who scored three straight to effectively put the game out of reach.
Pendleton-Moore finished the game with two goals as the third Petrel to score multiple times. Bedgood scored one and tallied an assist.
