ANDERSON, Ind.—The Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels' winning streak moved to six games after defeating Anderson 19-5 Thursday night on the road. With 5-0 and 7-0 scoring runs in the second and third quarters of play, the Petrels were able to soar past the Ravens.
Junior attack Ally Moir, who has been a force on the field for Oglethorpe all season, led with six goals in the contest—good for a new season high. As per usual, freshman Anna Ramsden found the back of the net four times. This was the sixth contest of her freshman campaign in which she recorded four goals.
Kaitlynn Alford, the junior midfielder out of Newnan, Georgia, recorded three goals in the spring break contest, pushing her past the 30-point mark where she sits at 32 points on the season. Senior attack Kendall White rounded out the scoring for Oglethorpe with two goals.
With this nonconference win, Oglethorpe moved to 9-2 on the season and 2-0 in Southern Athletic Association play with wins over Hendrix and Sewanee. The Petrels look to carry this momentum into the rest of conference play as the regular season begins to wind down.
