ATLANTA – In their final home game of the season, the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels fell 15-13 to the Hendrix Warriors after an exciting senior day.
Six Petrels made their way into the scoring column as Richard Bedgood IV led with four goals and one assist, while Jazz Washington followed with three goals and two assists. Goalkeeper Addison Irwin recorded 27 saves, surpassing 1,000 career saves in his five seasons wearing an Oglethorpe jersey.
Washington, Bedgood and Van Note started the Petrels off strong, giving Oglethorpe a 3-0 lead in the first four minutes of the game. Â

The Petrels started the quarter off with goals from seniors Washington and Max Brand, but the Warriors quickly scored three times before Bedgood could score again. Later in the period, Hendrix went on a 5-0 run to raise the score to 11-8.
The Stormy Petrels continued to fight, with Israel Pendleton-Moore tying things up at 11-11 in the fourth quarter.
