ATLANTA—On Saturday afternoon, Oglethorpe advanced to the semifinals of the Southern Athletic Association tournament after a 3-0 victory over Millsaps.
The first goal for the Stormy Petrels came in the 13th minute from All-SAA first team honoree Ben Alram. It was the senior's fourth goal of the season. The assists of the goal came from Adrian Levy and JR Cozine, who played a quick pass and through-ball to Alram who finished from the left side with his left foot.
The second and third goals subsequently followed in the second half. Owen VanMarter sent a powerful strike past Millsaps goalkeeper Michael Hamauei to double the team's lead in the 49th minute. It was the junior's second goal of the season. The goal was assisted by JR Cozine and Steven Johnson-Fikula.
Cozine marked off his stellar performance in the 63rd minute with an incredible long-range shot that hit the back of the net after a great assist from Daniel Amah. It was the senior's second goal of the season.
