ROME, Ga. - The Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels closed the regular season with an 89-63 loss to the Berry Vikings. Of the 10 players in the scoring column, Jordan James led with 13 points.Â
Behind James, Perry Robinson recorded 12 points, Uba Ezigbo made 10 and Malachi Dooley had nine points. Robinson tallied eight rebounds while Ezigbo made six.Â
The Vikings were first to sink a basket, giving themselves a setup for the rest of the game. Oglethorpe, which beat Berry 79-74 in overtime back in early December, remained confident but headed into halftime down 49-30. The Vikings only allowed the Petrels a few small runs throughout the game and remained aggressive in the second half. The game ended on a good free throw from Ethan Weems, the first point of his collegiate career.
