MEMPHIS—Keimarya Rivera led with 12 points and eight rebounds, but the Oglethorpe women's basketball team lost to Southern Athletic Association foe Rhodes 71-47 Sunday on the road.
Oglethorpe had it close at a three-point game early in the second half until a 12-0 Rhodes run put the game out of reach. The Stormy Petrels went 0-for-9 from the field in that five-and-a-half-minute stretch as Rhodes went ahead by 15 and led by double figures the rest of the way.
After Rivera, who was two rebounds shy of her 15th career double-double, Malia Melton followed next in the scoring column with 11 points and eight rebounds.
Ten Petrels made their way into the scoring column. Carley Bell came next with six after Rivera and Melton. Bell did so making both of her 3-point attempts in the game.
