LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga.- On Wednesday night, the Stormy Petrels suffered their first loss this season after a 1-0 defeat to Covenant. The loss against Covenant ended Oglethorpe's four-match unbeaten run to start the season.
The score was even in the first half between the Oglethorpe women's soccer program and Covenant. However, Blythe Jelly scored the winning goal for Covenant in the 75th minute. Rob King's side worked hard to try to get back into the match but ultimately could not find a deciding equalizer.
