Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Story by Nyle Farooqui

Women’s soccer falls at Talladega

TALLADEGA, Ala.-- On Saturday afternoon, the Oglethorpe women's soccer program suffered their second loss of the season after a 3-0 defeat to Talladega. This was the first time this season that Oglethorpe has suffered back-to-back losses after their four-match unbeaten run to start the season.

The score was even in the first half between the Stormy Petrels and Talladega. However, the deadlock was broken in the 48th minute after Cyoiah Watley scored to give Talledega the lead. Watley scored again nine minutes later to double the advantage. Then, Annalisa Vincent scored in the 62nd minute to close off the match.

It was a frustrating afternoon for the program. However, the hope will be that they will bounce back with the talent that they have in their next match back home in front of their fans.
