ATLANTA- On Tuesday, the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels got their first win of the season back at home in a 3-0 victory against Covenant. Adrian Levy provided the eventual game-winning goal in the 27th minute, and Dylan Bapst had two assists in the victory.
Oglethorpe opened the scoring in the 27th minute after a low cross from Bapst found Levy. Levy took a touch around the defender and scored. It was Levy's fourth goal of the season and Bapst's first assist of the season.
Javier Aponte scored his first goal of the season in the 44th minute to double the lead after another great cross from Bapst. Aaron Ibe closed the scoring in the 62nd minute after he took the ball away from Covenant goalkeeper JT Gard and put it into the open net. It was Ibe's first goal of the season.
