Stormy Petrels fall at home to Tigers

ATLANTA- Despite five saves by Katherine Crim, the Oglethorpe women's soccer team could not find their stride and fell to Southern Athletic Association preseason favorite Trinity 3-0 in their first home SAA game.

In the first half, the two stayed in a stalemate in the beginning with only one shot from the Tigers. However, in the 22nd minute, Trinity scored the first goal of the night, making it 1-0. Crim responded with defensive power in the 26th minute by containing a shot from the Tigers.

Trinity responded out of the half quickly with a goal in the 51st minute, increasing the score to 2-0. Five Minutes later, the Tigers scored the third goal, putting the Petrels in a 3-0 deficit. The Petrels looked to score with Myleigh Oglesby's shot, yet it was contained. With additional shots from Harlow Cregar and another save from Crim, the Petrels ran out of time and could not equalize the score.
