ATLANTA—Oglethorpe honored Sydney Bumgardaner and Montana Harris as part of a Valentine's Day senior-day celebration Friday night, but the Stormy Petrels suffered a 75-59 loss to Southern Athletic Association regular-season champion Millsaps.
Keimarya Rivera led the Stormy Petrels with 24 points along with nine rebounds.
Oglethorpe dug an early hole but showed tremendous resilience to battle things back to an eight-point game at the end of the third quarter. This came thanks in part to a 21-10 third quarter where Oglethorpe went on runs of 8-2 and 7-2 late in the period. Anna Conza had a huge 3-point make at the end of the first run, and Sheraton Foster had a great basket with time winding down in the third quarter on the second run.
Oglethorpe trailed 55-47 with 10 minutes left despite having faced a 21-point deficit in the first half. However, the Petrels ultimately ran out of gas in the final quarter, with Millsaps finishing the game on a 14-8 run.

- Rivera's 24 points led all scorers, and it marked her sixth 20-point game of the season.
- Rivera shot 11-for-13 from the field and added two blocks and two steals.
- Conza followed with 13 points and three rebounds. Foster scored eight and had three assists and a steal.

Oglethorpe heads to the SAA tournament, set to begin Sunday, Feb. 23, with seeds 2 through 4 hosting seeds 5 through 7 in the opening round. Oglethorpe, currently the fourth seed with five wins, can lock up fourth place and an opening-round host bid with a Rhodes loss to Centre on Sunday.
