Stormy Petrels bested by Trinity

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels closed their tour of Texas with a 4-0 loss to the Trinity Tigers Sunday afternoon.

Marlie Sikora, Evan Thomas and Myleigh Oglesby all took shots, but none could break through Trinity's defense. Katherine Crim made two saves.

Trinity scored all four of their goals in the first period. The first one came in the 13th minute, and the second was about eight minutes later. The other two were toward the end of the period but spread further apart. Oglethorpe did its best to overcome such a high disadvantage, and came close with Thomas' shot, but the outcome was clear even at halftime.

The 4-0 loss ended Oglethorpe's road games for the regular season, as the Stormy Petrels look to bounce back in a string of home conference and nonconference games over the next few weeks.
