ATLANTA- Oglethorpe's second home game of the year ended in a 21-5 loss to the SCAD-Savannah Bees Saturday afternoon.
On the offensive side, Peyton Knowles led the Petrels with two goals, including a man-down score in the third quarter. Gannon Johnson added one goal, while Liam Miller contributed one goal and one assist to account for Oglethorpe's five total scores.
At faceoff, SCAD-Savannah controlled possession for much of the afternoon, using key wins in the first half to build an early advantage.
In goal, the Petrels faced steady pressure as SCAD-Savannah produced 21 goals. Defensively, Oglethorpe continued to compete despite multiple extra-man situations that allowed the Bees to extend their lead.
SCAD-Savannah opened on a 6–0 run in the first quarter before Knowles put Oglethorpe on the board late in the period. The Bees continued to capitalize on extra-man opportunities in the second quarter, taking a 12–1 lead into halftime.
Oglethorpe showed fight in the third, with goals from Johnson and Knowles cutting into the deficit, and Miller later adding a fourth-quarter score. However, SCAD-Savannah maintained control throughout the second half to secure the 21–5 result.
